Programme details

The first year should be completed with 60 ECTS that can be selected from the curricular units of one of the following A3ES approved Doctoral Programs:

• Doctoral Program in Health Sciences (at the School of Medicine of the University of Minho);
• Doctoral Program in Biomedical Engineering (School of Engineering of the University of Minho);
• Doctoral Program in Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells (School of Engineering of the University of Minho).

This structure enables designing very flexible and tailored curricula adapted to the specific scientific expertise required by each of the PATH PhD students. The Doctoral Program from which more curricular units are selected will be the one in which the PhD student will be registered and that will confer the PhD Degree (the final Diploma will mention the International Specialization in Advanced Therapies for Health). The PhD students may also select curricular units from the other two PhD programs.
